Commit to Vote in the Primary

Vote the Primary

Your Voice Matters in Wyoming. Especially in the Primary.

The decisions made in Wyoming shape the future of our families, communities, schools, healthcare systems, workplaces, and economy. When women and community members are informed, engaged, and represented, Wyoming is stronger for everyone.

Wyoming Women’s Foundation believes civic participation is one of the most powerful ways people can help create lasting change.
Voting, staying informed, sharing resources, and participating in local conversations all help build healthier communities and a stronger Wyoming.

Too often, major decisions are made by a small percentage of voters. In Wyoming, many local and statewide races are decided during the primary elections, when turnout is traditionally much lower. That means every voice — and every vote — carries real impact.

You Can Increase Voter Turnout

When more Wyomingites participate, our communities better reflect the needs and priorities of the people who live here. If you’re talking with friends about voting in the primaries, here are a few key points you can share:

Major Decisions

Most major statewide and legislative races are effectively decided in the primary election.

Small Margins

Many Wyoming primary elections are decided by very small margins. In 2024, nearly one-third of Wyoming House races were decided by fewer than 250 votes, and a dozen by fewer than 100.

Low Turnout, Big Impact

Low primary turnout means a small number of voters have an outsized impact on election outcomes—making participation especially important.
